Bran do Castro (Triple zero)
Bran do Castro is awesome.
it was quite early, but i am out of words to tell how much i like this profile.
first of all, the mini.
nice! semi monkey semi human look rocks. look at the special base and he has hands where he must have foots. what a miniature! maybe i can play on the weapon little bit to make it look more dangerous.
ok. here is the stats line.
4-4 movement, cc 22 , bs 11, ph 13, wip 13 , 1 wound, arm 1 and no bts at all.
where triple zero shines is the abilities he has.
martial arts level 3. with cc22 and DA ammo ccw , he is a real killer. He has camouflage. so more ever, he can suprise attack his opponents. he is dangerous against most of the troops.
he has superior infiltration. with ph 13, you have %80 chance to deploy , somewhere very close to your opponents' troops. with deadly martial arts skills, this is awesome.
multiterrain. he doesnt care if the ground conditions are good or bad. he is not restricted with movement.
super jump. yeah! he can jump. where ever he likes and lands to ground like a feather. he can jump as a camo and kill with suprise shots. what is more enjoyable than jumping over your opponent in camo form and asking for if he has an aro for that. :P
and climbing plus! an other great ability. you can move like a monkey and attack. climb 4 inch and you can still attack.
all the abilities bran do castro has works in great synergy among themselves. think about it.
he can reach anywhere he likes easily. he is one of the best liuetenant killers cause of this. alpha striker with no mercy.
so, lets also evaluate options given in army builder.
Bran do Castro - boarding shotgun 33 points
nothing extra but shotgun in opponents' deployment is always dangerous. you can find the right place to kill many units at once. dont forget that in close range boarding shotgun has +6 extra modifier. bs 17 with burst of 2 will be demolishing for your opponent.
Bran do Castro - specialist operative 37 points
wait a second. does he become a specialist also ? Yes. and he brings combi with himself this time. however there is one more special weapon you have now. emitter.
emitters cause your opponent to make 2 bts rolls. but more over, this time they have to use half of their bts values. it is a very good attack chance on a camo trooper. it is very effective against tags and rems. emitter is better on 8-16 inch rangebracket giving +3 mod to attacker. +0 in close range.
Bran do Castro is not invincible. in reactive turn, your opponent can sensor him, and your hero can die easilly against standart troops.
Better idea is to use Bran camo in hard to reach spot for the opponent sensors. maybe you can use him as a normal camo in mid table.
in active turn, he is a beast. you can kill the cheerleaders, liuetenant, links, tags, rems. nothing can stand on your way. dont get angry when you make a roll of 17-18-19-20 in deployment phase. because %20 is still a risk. most of the time, you will succeed. but these are dices man.
he is a star in bakunin.
